Beautiful Pakistan: Toli Pir

Toli Pir is a hilltop area situated in Tehsil Rawalakot in the Poonch District of Azad Kashmir. Its approximate height is about 2621 m or 8800 ft above sea level. It is about 40 km, from Rawalakot in Azad Kashmir.

Toli Pir is the highest mountainous location in the northeastern area of Rawalakot; it is the point of origin of three different mountain ridges. The site has mettle road access upto tourism rest house along with electricity at locations. The tourist rest house on the way to Toli Pir is also situated in a scenic location. There are some remains of an old mazar on the highest hilltop. Water is available through natural ground water springs.

Take a glance at the panoramic view around and you will realize why Iqbal had gone overjoyed: “If paradise can be on earth, it is this same place.” And why had the Emperor Jahangir on his deathbed said he desired “Nothing but Kashmir.”

One can explore the fascinating beauty overlooking the sub Valleys of Rawalakot & Bahg. Tolipir is a place that offers calm atmosphere with vast green meadows stretching over a big area. The place holds the potential to mesmerize visitors. Abbaspur, Bagh and Poonch River can be viewed from Toli Pir.

This marvellous place is located at the other side of the Line of Control (LOC). The snowcapped mountains of Peer Panjal add more colour to the beauty of Toli Peer and it gives the impression of a FAIRYLAND.

Toli Pir is most accessible during the summer months; the weather is generally pleasant but becomes colder from October through March. The area's natural beauty is at its peak in April and May.
